EXT. KUNLE'S OFFICE BUILDING - LATER

Kunle's office is in a 8-storey building in the heart of Ikeja. There are several signage hung at the entrance of the building. A number of persons are seen moving about the building.

Kunle's SUV arrives the entrance of the building. The security guards attend familiarly to the person in it and lets the SUV through the gate.

SCENE 24

INT. MADAM GOLD RESTAURANT - LATER

Nuel is standing at the doorpost of the restaurant counting some naira notes. He puts some in his wallet, another in his pockets and holds on to some in his hands.

NUEL

Oya Madam Gold, na your money be this. Thanks.

MADAM GOLD

(Accepts it)

I don tell you make you no worry yaself before. But you tay o.

SCENE 21

EXT. FOUR SQUARE GOSPEL CHURCH. ATM CORNER - SAME TIME

A guy at the ATM collects the cash dispensed and starts to count. Others on the queue kick. He steps aside and Doris takes her turn. She shoves her card in the machine, punches some buttons and the machine screen shows her balance of N300.55k. Doris takes her card. She walks aside embarrassed.

SCENE 18

INT. KUNLE'S OFFICE - SAME TIME

KUNLE

Hello, Belinda.

BELINDA

Why did you put me on hold for this long, Kunle? You know I don't like that.

KUNLE

Whatever you do Belinda, just make sure you don't stop. Okay? I'll call you back.

Drops the call and continues with Oshoke.

SCENE 14

BELINDA, 24, a UNILAG student is Kunle's mistress. She is driving just a little ahead of Funke.

Her cell phone rings. She takes it using her hands-free.

BELINDA

Hello darling. It's so good to hear your voice...

KUNLE

Where're you?

SCENE 9

INT. MADAM GOLD RESTAURANT - CONTINOUS

There's a lot of rattling inside the restaurant. Many customers wanting to be attended to.

Nuel is seated in a corner in the restaurant; eating and sweaty just like everyone else.

Nuel notices a shabbily dressed middle-aged man walk into the restaurant. Each time it gets to the man's turn to be attended to, he motions that the next person should be attended to while he steps back.

SCENE 7

INT. KUNLE'S BEDROOM - NIGHT

The room is partly lit. The size and look of the master bedroom is grand. Kunle's wife, Funke squats on the bed.

FUNKE

Honey, I almost got fired today at work!

Kunle who had been brushing his mouth in the toilet hastily peeps his head out the opened toilet door.

INT. TAXI. BACK SEAT - CONTINOUS

Nuel starts to scratch the PIN foil on the card.

NUEL(CONT'D)

(Thinking aloud)

People still make calls outside? In 2016?

The taxi driver looks at him through his rearview mirror but says nothing.

EXT. ROADSIDE - DAY

The telephone kiosk is adorned with different mobile phone operator's brand. Doris is the only customer making a call at the kiosk. She is at the end of her telephone conversation.

INT. CHIEF OMORUYI'S APARTMENT - CONTINUOS  

Chief Omoruyi having overheard their conversation falls back weak in his wheelchair.

SCENE 3

EXT. IMG CONSULTING OFFICE BUILDING - MORNING

There are some business activities going on in the vicinity. ALHAJI, 59, MD/CEO of IMG Consulting LTD is on his way out for a meeting. He is accompanied by his P.A. FUNKE, 29, while his driver walks ahead of them to bring the car from the parking lot.

EXT. CHIEF OMORUYI'S APARTMENT - MORNING.

TITLE OVER: AKOWONJO, SEPTEMBER 1, 2016

Chief Omoruyi's apartment is a two-bedroom. His daughter, DORIS, 25, had just finished her National Youth Service and works for IMG CONSULTING LTD in Ikeja. She's on her way to work.

She comes out the kitchen with a couple of coolers, sets them on the dining table, scribbles two phone numbers down on a paper and places a mobile phone on it.

INT. 2010 TOYOTA CAMRY XLE. FRONT SEATS - CONTINOUS

It is now getting a bit dark. The duo of Mark and Sylvester are still in transit. Silence still characterize their journey. Sylvester is deep in thought. Mark is focused on the road. As they negotiate a bend, there is a loud explosion. Their car tire is burst.

SCENE 1

INT. 2010 TOYOTA CAMRY XLE. FRONT SEATS - EVENING.

TITLE OVER: OREPO, SEPTEMBER 1, 2011

MARK AUDU, 32, is behind the wheel. SYLVESTER ANI, 33, is on the passenger seat. They are returning from an errand.

The ringtone from Sylvester's mobile phone breaks the long silence between them. He fetches the phone from his jacket breast pocket, checks the caller ID and picks it.
