Tekena and Uju are seen driving into a fast-food restaurant.
They park and alight. Tekena hurries to where Uju is parked and helps her down.
TEKENA
I'm sure you still like Shawarma?
UJU
I still love Shawarma.
TEKENA
Then you're welcome to one of the best Shawarma joints in town.
UJU
You always knew where the best Shawarmas are.
TEKENA
Believe me when I say this one's great. Come, let's have a
taste.
They walk to Shawarma kiosk.
TEKENA(CONT'D)
(To attendant)
Let's have two large special.
Attendant nod.
TEKENA(CONT'D)
Uju, where've you been all this while? I've missed you so much.
UJU
Me too.
TEKENA
Have you been in Lagos?
UJU
No, I just came into Lagos two months ago.
TEKENA
So where've you been before two months ago?
UJU
Well, I've been shuttling between Abuja and Warri. Trying to see
if I could make ends meet.
TEKENA
Were you?
UJU
Not exactly.
TEKENA
You just left Lagos like that without leaving any clue where you
were going.
UJU
I'm sorry. It was a sudden opportunity - or so I thought then. I
myself didn't know I was gonna leave that day.
TEKENA
And when you left why didn't you call?
UJU
I lost my phone on that journey. Can you believe that?
TEKENA
You just disappeared with all the love I felt for you. You know
I loved you then, Uju?
UJU
And now?
TEKENA

UJU
You always had a way with words. That was one thing I loved
about you. Even when you were lying, you always said nice things.
TEKENA

Lying? Was that meant to be a compliment?
