SCENE 12
EXT. FILLING STATION - NIGHT
A girl, 32, is seen standing by her car. A petrol attendant is
filling her tank. Shortly, Girl sees Antonio 's
car arrive and park at the filling station entrance. She takes away her face to
look at the fuel pump. She looks back in Antonio 's
direction and sees Tekena leaning by Antonio 's
car door. She gives an intense look at Tekena as he chats indistinctly.
GIRL
(To Attendant)
Excuse me, I'll be right back.
She walks towards Tekena. She sees Tekena walking away from Antonio 's car and Antonio 's
car driving off. She hurries after Tekena as he walks to his parked car. As
Tekena slams car door and starts car engine, girl gets to him:
GIRL
Tekena?
Tekena is shocked
GIRL(CONT'D)
TEKENA
(Surprisingly)
Uju?
Tekena puts off car engine, steps down, they hug and exchange
pleasantries.
TEKENA(CONT'D)
My God! I can't believe I'm seeing you again.
UJU
Yea, me too. What're you doing here? Who was that I saw you
with?
TEKENA
He's nobody. What're you doing here?
UJU
I came to buy fuel. Let me go get my car. It must be filled now.
They start walking to her car.
UJU(CONT'D)
Oh my God! After all these years, I can see you again?
TEKENA
Isn't it great?
UJU
Let me park my car.
TEKENA
Okay.
Uju enters car and parks. Tekena walks to her before she can
alight:
TEKENA(CONT'D)
You know what? Why don't I take you somewhere so we could catch
up on old times.
UJU
Okay.
TEKENA
So you'll just drive behind me.
UJU
Okay.
Tekena walks to his car, motions Uju to come along and they
drive off.
