EXT. MAGNET OIL AND GAS BUILDING - NOON

The MAGNET Oil and Gas is on a storey building on Lagos Island.

INT. MAGNET OIL AND GAS/BRUCE’S WORKSTATION

There are a number of offices downstairs. There’s a lot of indistinct busy staff clatter in one of the offices upstairs – some of which are on the phone. Bruce' workstation is in this office. Bruce too is on the phone chatting with his friend Osaz.

BRUCE(INTO PHONE)

You really think so?

OSAZ(THROUGH PHONE)

              Believe me, Bruce, she’s is in love with you, if, if all you told me is true.

BRUCE(INTO PHONE)

Of course, Osaz, why’d I be making up stories?

OSAZ(THROUGH PHONE)

              Then what are you waiting for?

BRUCE(INTO PHONE)

              You should’ve seen how she adjusted my tie this morning. She even asked how my night was.

OSAZ(THROUGH PHONE)

              Ask her out.

BRUCE(INTO PHONE)

              It’s not that easy. What if am just mistaking her kind gestures for love? She’s going to hang me. (Osaz laughs)

OSAZ(THROUGH PHONE)

              Look, Bruce, when you love a woman, you walk up to her. That’s how we do it in the States, man.

BRUCE(INTO PHONE)

              Hmm, Mister Americana. You’ve suddenly turned love doctor. When are you going back to the US? Abi na Benin you wan base now?

OSAZ(THROUGH PHONE)

              The dreams I had for America before leaving Nigeria is not what I woke up to when I got there. It was a totally different ball game. I want to stay back and start some kinda business here in Naija.
