SCENE 12 INT. EDWIN'S HOUSE/LIVING ROOM - NIGHT As Edwin bats an eyelid, he sees blurry images of his mother and KC chatting indistinctly. He groans as he tries to sit up on the couch. Mrs Ogbebor and KC see him and immediately help him up. EDWIN (To KC) Wetin you dey do for here? MRS OGBEBOR Will you shut up my friend! Do you know how much bandage and medication I have wasted on you? Do you know how much I'd have made if you were a patient? KC It's okay, Ma. I fit dey go now since hin don wake? MRS OGBEBOR Thank you very much, oga welder. You can go now. KC leaves. EDWIN What of my phone? MRS OGBEBOR Look at them there. (Indicates stool) They are now many. You can choose the one you want to use. Edwin looks at stool and sees broken pieces of his phone. He becomes frustrated. MRS OGBEBOR(CONT'D) If I were you, I'll start worshipping that welder as from tomorrow. If not for him, I'd have been dead by now. EDWIN How? MRS OGBEBOR Ha, you expect that after losing your father and then you, life would've still made any sense to me? EDWIN But you were the one who sent me out. MRS OGBEBOR And so? Didn't the welder warn you to go back?
