SCENE 28

INT. LASHE'S HOUSE/MASTER BEDROOM - SAME TIME

Lashe is seen a roundabout struggle with Man. She throws everything at her disposal at Man and eventually runs out of room. She bumps into Tekena at the hallway.

TEKENA

What is it? What is it, Lashe?

LASHE

(Panicky)

Thief. Thief. I don't know. He's holding a knife...

They look at her room's direction and see Man appear by door. Tekena holds Lashe by her hand and they start to run downstairs, Man pursues. They run into kitchen and quickly lock door. Man is unable to enter kitchen.

SCENE 29

INT. LASHE'S HOUSE/KITCHEN - CONTINOUS

Lashe and Tekena start hearing and feeling the impact of Man's banging on door. Lashe terrifyingly holds on to Tekena. Suddenly, banging ends and there is quiet.

TEKENA

Who was that?

LASHE

I don't know. He barged in suddenly on me. I was on the phone. I don't think he's a thief. He doesn't seem to want anything from the house. I think he's assassin.

TEKENA

Why would anyone want you dead?

LASHE

I don't know. You need to help me, Tekena. I don't want to die. I don't want to die.

TEKENA

It's okay. I'm not going to let you die. No one's gonna touch you as long as I'm here.

LASHE

You think he's gone?

TEKENA

I'm not sure.

LASHE

Let's call the police.

TEKENA

I left my phone in the guestroom.

LASHE

God, I threw mine on his face to escape. What do we do?

TEKENA

We wait. He can't enter here...

Suddenly there is a big bang on door. Lashe and Tekena are scared. As the bang continues, they notice the door is about to give way.

LASHE

The door. He's going to come in here and kill us.

Tekena looks around kitchen and draws out a machete. He stands beside door. As door finally gives way, he strikes Man with machete before he could drop seat used to bang door. He strikes Man again and again and Man drops dead in his blood pool. Lashe is awestruck.

TEKENA

It's okay now. It's okay. He's dead.

He stretches hand towards Lashe.

TEKENA(CONT'D)

You can come out now.

Lashe runs into his arms and gives a tight embrace. She then kisses him.

LASHE

I love you.

She rests her head on his chest.

TEKENA

I'll call the police to take it from here. You go rest upstairs.

LASHE

Come with me.

Tekena follows her upstairs.
